The Waukee Fire Department will post all announcements for full and part-time/paid-on-call testing on the city's job opportunities page.  
The Waukee Fire Department conducts a hiring process as needed to hire additional part-time/paid-on-call staff. These POC positions staff the station with full time employees 24/7 and are paid for time worked. In addition, if the employee lives within a set distance from the Fire Station, the POC employee would respond to calls when available from their home.

If selected for part-time/POC employment, the Waukee Fire Department would potentially provide the minimum required training and certifications through a recruit academy to a candidate without prior certifications who lives locally. Preference will be given to those who do live in or near Waukee.
