In a growing city like Waukee, we’re always on the lookout for experienced, well-trained firefighters to join our ranks.

Experienced Firefighters with any of the following

certifications or qualifications are welcome immediately.

    A minimum of:
  • Firefighter I or
  • Firefighter II

    • Additional:

  • Haz-Mat Operations or
  • Haz-Mat Tech
Waukee Fire Department also accepts applications from men or women without experince to join the department. The unexperienced applicants would attend a West Metro training academy in conjunction with West Des Moines, Urbandale, Clive and Windsor Heights Fire Departments.
