Waukee Parks and Recreation Department and the IPRA are sponsoring the annual IPRA youth basketball “Spot Shot” contest on Saturday January 8 th, 2005 at Waukee Elementary.  Registration will begin at 9:00 A.M., with the event beginning at 9:30 A.M.  Fee is $4. The IPRA “Spot Shot” contest has six age categories: ages 8-13, for both boys and girls. Age is determined as of January 8 th, 2005.  Boys and girls have 60 seconds to dribble from half court and shoot from 7 locations. Two rounds are shot from 7 preset locations. The points are then added together from both rounds to make up the total score. The top two participants in each age category advance to the state competition.
