| Beth Richardson – Administrative Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs various administrative tasks related
to all department within Public Works, Engineering and Parks and Recreation
including administration of the platting process, assisting in the
planning, directing, and coordinating of the recreation and leisure
time activities, processing departmental payroll and wage information,
tracking and reporting various departmental budget and capitol improvement
projects, word processing/typing, filing, scheduling, composing correspondence,
preparing reports, transcribing, and/or other related duties.
- Responsible for coordinating the administration of platting process
from preliminary plat, construction plans to final plat. Works with
the Developer, Engineer and Attorney from initial submittal of the
plat to the recording of the final plat documents. Will attend Planning
and Zoning meeting concerning platting process.
- Assists in the preparation of the Public Works Department Council
agenda items. Prepares coversheets and writes resolutions. Assists
the City Attorney and Engineer to write and/or change Public Works
related Ordinances.
- Serves as Park and Recreation Coordinator whose duties include
agenda and packet preparation and attending all Park Board meetings,
liaison between Park Board and all City and public entities, develop,
coordinate and implement various recreation and community events
and City sponsored functions.
- Prepares the agenda and packet information, take the minutes and
attends all the Utility Committee Meetings.
- Assists in the administration, tracking, record
keeping and generating reports on Public Works Capitol Improvement
Projects and maintains records of past Projects.
- Assists Public Works Director in the annual budget preparation
for all Departments and assists Director and Treasurer in monthly
monitoring of expenditures and revenues.
- Assists various departments with inventories.
- Generates a monthly report on purchased water, consumption history
and water loss.
- Generates a monthly report on vehicle maintenance including repairs
and fuel mileage.
- Assists in bi-monthly departmental payroll and departmental wage
information.
- Responds to complaints, answers question, and supplies requested
information from citizens related to all aspects of Parks and Recreation
and Public Works.
- Maintain Utility (Right-of-Way) Permits, assists with scheduling
gas and water meter installations and change-outs, maintains the
Gas Rebate Program.
- Maintains a record of all invoices and reports monthly on status
of invoices paid, unpaid, and past due.
- Maintains a record of Public Works employees drivers license and
vehicle insurance.
- Assists Safety Coordinator in keeping Public Works Departments
within all local, state, federal and OSHA safety requirements.
