On September 17, Mayor Peard issued an anti-bullying proclamation in collaboration with the Cities of Clive, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights, as well as the Urbandale, Waukee and West Des Moines school districts, in recognition of October as "National Anti-Bullying Month." Click here to read the proclamation.

The cities and school districts are working together to address bullying - an issue not just in the school system, but one that requires the engagement of the entire community. The proclamation has been issued in an effort to inform and educate residents of the physical and emotional impact of bullying and cyber bullying on young people.
