Waukee's Kettlestone Development is home to several miles of trails and four public ponds.
Five miles of trails currently wind through Kettlestone. Additional trails are under construction, connecting the Kettlestone Commons Ponds on the east side of Grand Prairie Parkway to the Tallgrass Pond on the west side via an underpass to the Kettleview Development. The trail will also connect these areas through the Westown Parkway pedestrian underpass to the Grant Park neighborhoods.
Two ponds are located adjacent to the Holmes Murphy office building, located at 2727 Grand Prairie Parkway. Kettlestone Village Pond is located adjacent to the Kettleview Development, located at 2505 SE Encompass Drive, on the west side of Grand Prairie Parkway. Both ponds are stocked with fish through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fish Local program. Ponds are open to the public. Fishing licenses are required. Learn more and see a map of pond locations. Kettlestone Village Pond is not yet stocked with fish.
