Alice Nizzi Park

Alice Nizzi Park is a park planned to be located in the northern area of Waukee near Alice’s Road. In 2015, a Strategic Framework Plan was developed for the Alice Nizzi Historic District with a primary goal of securing land within the District for development of a public park. The design of the Park was to integrate historical and cultural elements interpreting the importance of coal mining in the origins and evolution of the City of Waukee and Alice Nizzi’s impact on the mining camps and community. Alice Nizzi Park is a 3.17-acre neighborhood park located within the Historic District.
