Peddler's Permit
All peddlers must be licensed by the City of Waukee
All solicitors and peddlers are required to be licensed by the City of Waukee with certain specific exemptions as outlined in Waukee Municipal Code, Chapter 122. Residents are encouraged to ask peddlers and solicitors who may visit their home to display their City of Waukee Peddler's Permit.

The following is a list of vendors currently licensed by the City of Waukee. If a vendor who is not on this list attempts to conduct business with you and fails to produce a valid peddler's permit, please contact the Waukee Police Department dispatch at (515) 222-3321 to file a report.

Doing business door-to-door?
All peddlers and solicitors must obtain a Peddler's Permit from the City of Waukee. The purpose of a Peddler's Permit is to protect residents against fraud, unfair competition and intrusion into the privacy of their homes.
If approved, each peddler is required to keep their permit in their possession at all times while conducting business in the City and be able to produce the license upon the request of prospective customers as evidence of compliance with Waukee Municipal Code.

A non-refundable $5 application fee is required at the time of submission. Licenses can be obtained for a period of one day up to 90 days. Rates vary based on the length of the license.
Pursuant to the City's Municipal Code, hours of solicitation in the City of Waukee are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Soliciting is not permitted on Sundays or national holidays.
