The Waukee Public Library is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. The trustees are appointed by the Mayor for a three-year term, limited to two consecutive terms. Residency in Waukee city limits is required for appointment.
The Library Board of Trustees is responsible for establishing Library policy, authorizing services provided by the Library, establishing the Library budget and hiring the Library Director. Board meetings are open to the public. Agendas are posted 24 hours prior to the meeting at WaukeePublicLibrary.org/About/Board-Trustees.
