Youth Soccer Clinic

Join us for this three-session fundamental clinic for kids ages 4-5. The clinic takes place on June 10, 17 and 24 at Ridge Pointe Park.Children will learn the fundamentals of soccer including basic rules, dribbling, passing and throw-ins. Shin guards and cleats can be worn, but are not necessary for this clinic. Parents/guardians are encouraged to stay and watch! This is a great introduction to the Little Kickers Soccer Program. Mini Sluggers T-Ball

This program sponsored by internet provider mi-fiber, will run for five weeks with separate leagues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 5-July 12. Mini Sluggers gives kids the opportunity to participate in a summer t-ball league while teaching them basic fundamentals through practice and games. Foam bats and balls must be used in this league and will be provided for each team. Teams will be formed at random. Children must be 4 years old by July 11, 2019. Volunteer coaches are needed! Parent and Child Blastball

Is your child too young for Mini Sluggers? This is an early chance for him or her to learn about baseball and softball with the comfort of you as their partner. Each participant will complete drills with a parent/guardian. Three sessions will be held throughout the month of July. Age 3. Register

Tennis Camp

This four-day camp is designed for participants interested in learning the game of tennis. Participants will learn the basic information and skills needed to play. The camp is open to kids entering grades 4-8. Each camp participant will need to bring their own tennis racquet and water bottle. Register

Little Kickers Soccer

Little Kickers is designed to teach kids the basics of soccer while having fun. Game play will be 4 vs. 4 with four quarters of eight minutes continuous clock with no goalie. This program will be held on Thursday evenings from Sept. 6-Oct. 4. Teams will consist of seven or eight players with plenty of playing time for each player. Children must be 4 years old by Oct 1, 2019. Volunteer coaches are needed! Registration opens June 1.

2019 Fall Girls Recreational Softball League

Waukee Parks & Recreation offers a fall recreational girls softball league, and girls in grades 2-7 for the 2019-2020 school year are eligible to play. The league will be a shortened six-game season that runs Sept. 9-Oct. 3. Games will be played on Monday and Thursday nights. Practices will begin at the end of August. Teams will be formed at random. Registration is open June 1-Aug. 1. Volunteer coaches are needed! 

Fall Softball Camp

For the fourth year, 5th-7th grade girls can attend the Fall Softball Camp which offers a unique perspective about softball and high-quality coaching from Waukee’s head varsity softball coach Carrie Embree joined by the Waukee High School softball players! Participants will need to bring their own glove, helmet and bat. These practices will cover throwing progressions, infield/outfield drills, hitting drills, base running and confidence development. The camp will be held on Sundays and Thursdays from Aug. 18-29. Registration is open June 1-August 1.
