Title VI Non-Discrimination

The City of Waukee complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which states, "No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

If any citizen of the City of Waukee feels they are being denied participation in any public project, being denied benefits of any public program, or otherwise being discriminated against because of race, color, national origin, gender, age, disability, or because they have low income, complaints filed in person or in writing may be directed to:

If an individual would like to file a complaint of discrimination, they should do so as soon as possible, but no later than 180 days after the alleged discrimination occurred, or if there has been a continuing course of conduct, no later than 180 days after the alleged discrimination was discontinued.
