Waukee's first Dog Park is anticipated to open in early spring 2019, weather permitting. Annual park passes will be available for purchase beginning January 7, 2019. 

The four-acre site is located just east of Alice’s Road, directly south of the popular Heart of the Warrior Trail. The Dog Park includes public restrooms, 21 parking stalls, separated large/small dog areas, a drinking fountain, dog waste stations, a shade structure, concrete walking paths and open greenspaces. It also features a trail connection and bicycle racks.

Park Passes

All dogs who enter the Waukee Dog Park must have a valid annual pass attached to their collars, made visible at all times. 

Waukee residents must license all dogs with the City of Waukee prior to applying for Dog Park passes. Annual pet licenses can be purchased 24 hours a day online or over the phone on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1-855-585-8157. 

Non-residents will need to purchase an annual or one-day non-resident park pass in order to enter the Waukee Dog Park; City of Waukee pet licenses are not required.

Purchasing passes: Both annual and day passes can be purchased 24 hours a day online or on weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Waukee Parks & Recreation Office. The office is located at 805 University Avenue in the Waukee Public Works Building.

Vaccinations: Verification of rabies and distemper/parvo vaccine due dates are required. Upload or bring a copy of your veterinarian receipt when purchasing a pass.
