The goal of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan is to ensure that the City of Waukee creates accessible paths of travel in the public right-of-way for people with disabilities. The City evaluated the sidewalks for pedestrian accessible route features.
On the basis of this information, Waukee’s ADA Transition Plan outlines the steps the City is taking to provide new, or upgrade existing, pedestrian sidewalks as required by the ADA and its implementing regulations. The pedestrian access route features will be constructed or reconstructed to meet all federal and State of Iowa requirements.
Read the current City of Waukee ADA Transition Plan.
