Lunch and Learn: Tai Chi

Friday, June 3, 2022

Enjoy some tai chi and dessert at June's Lunch and Learn, followed by Bingo at 1 PM!

No time to attend an evening or weekend program? Try our Lunch & Learn series! We’ll have a speaker every first Friday of the month at the Waukee Community Center (675 Walnut St). Bring your brown bag lunch (if you want) and we’ll provide the dessert! Stick around afterward for Waukee Parks & Recreation’s Bingo at 1 PM. This program is brought to you in partnership with Waukee Parks & Recreation.

Tai Chi is a holistic form of exercise that has been shown to help improve balance, increase flexibility, and reduce stress. Whether you have balance deficits, arthritis, or are simply seeking a healthier lifestyle, tai chi will help you reach your wellness goals. This class will specialize in arthritis and falls prevention, and can be done standing or seated. Beginner-friendly. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes.
