Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

Explore a fun nonfiction title about animals, followed by an extended learning activity at the Library.

Each month we will explore a fun nonfiction title about animals, followed by an extended learning activity. We will chart data, consult maps, analyze sources, and use our imaginations to learn about the world’s creatures. Participants do not need to read the book in advance.

January's book will be "Who Would Win? Rhino vs. Hippo."

For students in grades 2-5. Parents do not need to stay in the room for this event. Registration is required.
