Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

Iowa State University Insect Zoo brings live and preserved insects to display in the Library!

Special guests from the Iowa State University Insect Zoo will bring live and preserved insects to display in the library! Knowledgeable Insect Zoo staff will talk about the animals on display and help you with this hands-on experience. Drop in any time during the hour and bring in your photos of bugs to be identified or even the bug itself. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by caregivers. Registration required.
