Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

Nova Scotian shipwreck hunter and professional scuba diver Terry Dwyer joins the Library for a live Zoom talk about his experience shipwreck hunting and working as a safety diver on Hollywood sets, and will share some tips and tricks along the way!

Want to learn how to find shipwrecks? According to the United Nations, there are approximately three million shipwrecks littering the oceans around the world. The opportunities for shipwreck exploration and discovery are as untapped as they are global. In this Zoom talk by Nova Scotian shipwreck hunter and professional scuba diver Terry Dwyer, you’ll learn how to research and find shipwrecks, the technology and tools of the trade, and search techniques used to locate shipwrecks. Terry will also share stories of his experiences shipwreck hunting and working as a safety diver on Hollywood sets. Registration required.
