Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

Teen Water Dodgeball

Play water dodgeball with sponge balls on the Library lawn. Alternative non-water games will be played inside in the case of inclement weather.

Spray on your sunscreen, pull out your sunglasses, and prepare to get wet! Students will play water dodgeball with sponge balls on the library lawn. Please wear clothing instead of, or over the top of, swimwear, and bring your own towel. In the case of inclement weather, alternative non-water games will be played inside the library.  

This event is split into two times for those entering grades 6-9 and grades 10-12 in the fall:

Parents and caregivers should be prepared to pick up their student promptly at the end of the program if the student does not have their own transportation. If there are any questions please contact the Library in advance of the event.
