City Staff Members Pack 15,336 Meals for Those in Need

On January 25, 2019, 42 City of Waukee staff members spent their lunch hours at Meals from the Heartland, packaging meals for local food pantries and disaster areas around the world. Meals from the Heartland is a non-profit organization geared toward eliminating life-threatening hunger.

In total, staff members packed 15,336 meals! 2018 employee charitable contributions to Meals from the Heartland paid for the ingredients to make the meal packs.
