The Waukee Public Library is now open with "Library Express" services on weekdays (M-F) from 2-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Up to 10 patrons are allowed in the building at a time, for up to 20 minutes. Visitors are asked to wear a mask to keep themselves, library staff and other patrons safe. Distancing of at least six feet from others is also encouraged.
Visitors can:
- Browse for items
- Check out materials
- Return items
- Use computers
- Get a new library card
- Ask questions
- Pick up holds
The following resources are not yet available:
- Meeting/study rooms
- In-person programs
- Children's activity centers
- Museums
Staff looks forward to returning to more normal library services as soon as possible, later this year!
Curbside pick-up services will also continue. Library staff members are available by phone to answer any questions on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For contactless checkout, use the library's self-checkout computers or its new app on your device (available through the App Store or Google Play).
