Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

    Hop on over and fill your baskets full of candy at Waukee's annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Waukee Parks & Recreation Department! Keep an eye out for special golden prize eggs. The hunt is sectioned off into three age groups: 4 & under, 5-7 years old and 8-10 years old. And, you just might catch a glimpse of the Easter Bunny himself.

  3. Citizen of the Year Reception

    Elected officials, City staff and community members will gather to honor Eric Kress - Waukee's 2018 Citizen of the Year. Mayor Peard will read a proclamation and will present Kress with a key to the City. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Stop by and congratulate Eric Kress! This reception is open to the public.

  4. Solarize Waukee Solar Power Hour

    The City of Waukee, the Nature Conservancy in Iowa, Waukee Aspiring Professional Experience (APEX) and the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) are supporting Solarize Waukee - the bulk solar group purchase program for residents and businesses located anywhere within the Waukee Community School District boundaries; this covers Waukee and portions of West Des Moines, Clive and Urbandale. The program will provide residents and businesses with the opportunity to invest in their own high-quality renewable energy solar installations with potential savings on installation cost, while also helping businesses reach sustainability goals.
