Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  2. Lessons from the Holocaust

    January 27, 2019, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    Join us this Holocaust Remembrance Day for a special presentation by educator Brad Wilkening of the Iowa Holocaust Council. Wilkening will examine how the Nazi party rose to power in Germany, share stories from survivors, and discuss the valuable lessons to be learned from one of the darkest times in human history. He will be joined by very special guests, David Wolnerman, Des Moines resident and Iowa's last known survivor of the Nazi concentration camps and his son Michael Wolnerman.
