Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Hickman Road Lane Closure

    April 2, 2019 - April 19, 2019

    Hickman Road going eastbound from just east of Peachtree Drive to just east of Alice's Road will be down to one lane April 2-April 19. Crews will be working to remove pavement along Hickman Road as part of the Alice’s Road widening project. Drivers will still be able to turn right onto Alice’s Road.

  3. Live Healthy Iowa 5K

    April 13, 2019, 8:00 AM @ Centennial Park

    Join Live Healthy Iowa for a 5K Run/Walk and a 1K Fun Run starting and ending in Centennial Park! The 5K will serve as an end to Live Healthy Iowa’s 10 Week Wellness Challenge. Adult challenge participants will receive a $10 discount on registration. Packet pickup will be held at the Centennial Park Enclosed Shelter from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, April 12 and on-site from 7-7:30 a.m. the morning of the race.

  8. Playing for a Miracle

    April 13, 2019, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Sportsplex West

    Learn more about the new proposed all-inclusive recreational area that will feature a Miracle League field, ADA accessible fishing pier, and all-inclusive playground. There will be a Miracle League style game, information about the recreational area, free food and drinks, fun for the family and a whole lot more. All are welcome! Accommodations will be made for families and/or children with special needs.

  9. Grown-Up Egg Hunt

    April 13, 2019, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    Don't let kids have all the fun! Teens and adults are invited to bring a flashlight and go on an egg hunt at the library. Lucky egg hunters may win cash, chocolate, gift certificates to local businesses, and other great prizes. Cookies will be served while participants wait for the hunt to begin. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will take place inside the library (still via flashlight!). The hunt doesn’t last long, so you will want to make sure to arrive on time! This event is for ages 13+ only for the safety of participants. This event is a fundraiser for teen programs at the library. Tickets will be available at the library and online starting March 15. Tickets are $10, and they are non-refundable.
