Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

If you’ve been wanting to join a book club but are not sure you’re up for the time commitment or the people-ing—this is the book club for you. Each month there’s a new book selection, but there’s never a meeting. Copies of each month’s book may be picked up on the first of the month at the library’s front desk, while supplies last.   2. Curbside Christmas Tree Collection

    The Christmas tree collection days for City of Waukee/ASI garbage customers are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 6 and Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. Real Christmas trees only should be placed on curbs by 7 a.m. Please have all items cleared off of trees before placing them out on the curbs - this includes tinsel and garland. Also, trees should not be placed in bags.

This class will specialize in arthritis and falls prevention, and can be done standing or seated. Beginner-friendly. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes. Registration Required.
