Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Ceramic Paint-Along

    February 6, 2021, 1:00 PM - February 13, 2021, 1:00 PM @ Waukee Public Library | Online

    In this online class, Dina from Five Monkeys Inc. will teach you to paint a mug design from start to finish. Those registered for this class will get to pick-up a Ceramic Paint-Along Kit from the Library containing 1 unpainted mug, a palette of paint colors needed for the design, and brushes needed to follow along with the video and create the design at home! Those on the registration list will be able to pick-up their free Kit (one per household) via curbside pick-up on Friday, February 5th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Curbside pick-up will be located at the Library (unless otherwise announced). Missed the chance to sign-up for a Kit? You can still "attend" the class! The video of this class will be publicly available from Saturday, February 6th at 1:00pm to Saturday, February 13th at 1:00pm.

  2. Valentine's Greetings

    Why do lovers send greeting cards, candy, and roses on February 14th? In this holiday program with music, author, photographer, and musician Kevin Woyce explores the romantic history of Valentine's Day—from Saint Valentine, Cupid, and the first Valentine cards to some of the season's most popular songs! Registration Required for this online event. Additionally, 35 lucky people on the Registration List will be chosen at random to receive a Valentine 4pc Chocolate Box from Chocolate Storybook. Winners (one per household) will be contacted via email with more information about picking up their chocolate curbside—so double check that you have entered a valid email address! Those who are registered to "attend" will be emailed a private link to the class video. The class video will only be available to view from Saturday, February 13th at 1:00pm until Saturday, February 20th at 1:00pm.
