Fox Creek Park
Splash Pad is Closed for the Season
The splash pad is closed until next summer to prepare for winterizing. It typically opens around Memorial Day weekend. Watch for announcements on our Waukee Parks and Recreation Facebook page and newsletters or check back to the Splash Pad page as summer gets closer.
About the Park
Fox Creek Park is 18 acres of fun. Within the park, there are 3/4 of a mile in trails which connect Grant Ragan Elementary to the surrounding neighborhoods. Two acres of prairie plantings aim to help the Monarch butterfly population increase.
This popular park has a recirculating splash pad, an 80-person capacity pavilion, a tennis court, four pickleball courts, play pods (see rules), parking and more. Please keep splash pad water off the playground for everyone's safety and to keep our play equipment in good condition.
Phase 1 of construction was completed in the fall of 2016. Phase 2 of Fox Creek Park wrapped up sooner than expected thanks to the November 2017 passage of the Dallas County Local Option Sales Tax. The new amenities were completed in the summer of 2019.
Fun Stormwater Fact: Fox Creek Park features a bioretention basin. The basin captures and infiltrates stormwater run-off from impervious surfaces to reduce water pollution and control runoff volumes.
