Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

    Meet at Mickey’s Irish Pub (50 S. E. Laurel Street) at 6:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month.Come for food, drinks, and a discussion of each month’s book. Copies of the discussion book may be obtained at the library’s front desk or at Mickey’s during the meeting, while supplies last.

    Romp, stomp and play! We have the set-up to meet your children's activity and social needs this fall and winter. With toddler toys ranging from blocks to tunnels and mats, there's no shortage of action here. We provide the fun, parents provide the supervision in this open gym for toddlers. Tot Lot will be cancelled when Waukee Schools are delayed and/or if there is inclement weather. Tot Lot will be closed 11/12, 12/24 and 2/18, but will be open the week of Spring Break.

  20. Waukee Public Safety Chili Cook-Off

    The Waukee Police Department and Fire Deparment will be cooking up their signature chili recipes for a competition between the two departments to raise money for the Waukee Leadership Institute's class project. The project aims to purchase a delivery van for the Dallas County Community Closet. Taste all of the chili and vote for your favorite by providing a freewill donation.
