Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  3. New Dial-A-Story Recordings

    The Library is excited to offer the Dial-A-Story service! Simply call the Dial-A-Story phone line (515-981-7800) any time to hear a selection of books read aloud by library staff. Listen for as long or as little as you wish. New selections will be recorded twice a month, for infants through elementary-aged students. In June we're sharing books about the animals around us. We will have different sets of stories from June 1-15, and June 16-30. We have rhythmic picture books, nonfiction, and songs and rhymes for babies.
