The Waukee Police Department has made a decision for the safety of our officers to remove any officer working the five-way intersection in both the morning and afternoon if the temperature falls into the single digits. Due to the cold, windy conditions and lack of visibility for drivers, we feel this is the safest option for our officers.
Please choose an alternate route or have patience in waiting at the five-way intersection (Ashworth Drive/Warrior Ln/North View Drive). Also continue to obey the speed limit and use your blinkers wisely in helping to keep traffic moving safely.
