The expansion project for Ute Avenue around the Ashworth intersection is nearing completion. Continue to use caution when driving in this area as work wraps up.
New updates:
- Silverleaf Lane has reopened at Ute Avenue.
- The last of roadway paving for the new lanes on Ute is expected to be completed by 12/8. Weather permitting, the new lanes are expected to open before year-end.
- Over the coming weeks, crews will be cleaning up the site, backfilling medians, grading for the trail and sidewalk ramps, finishing the permanent signal installation. Completion of the trail and sidewalk is weather depending.
Additional notes:
- Lanes on Ute Avenue through the Ute Avenue/Ashworth Road intersection are under construction. Lane shifts and changes will occur as crews progress on the project. Follow the cones and signs to navigate the intersection.
- Ashworth Road is open all the way through Waukee.
