With winter weather on its way, the Waukee Police Department is asking drivers to use special caution at the 5-way stop in Waukee. Parents who use Warrior Lane and Ashworth Drive as a route of travel when dropping off and picking up their children are asked to drive slowly through the intersection and to turn their blinkers on before they enter the intersection. Because officers direct traffic at the 5-way stop each day before and after school, icy roads could create dangerous conditions for their safety.
