Join Waukee Parks & Recreation on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 3:30-5 p.m. for the first annual Halloween Bark Bash at Trailside Dog Park sponsored by Autumn Ridge Apartments and Companions for Life. Showcase creativity during the canine costume contests. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners in the following categories: large dog costume, small dog costume and owner/canine costume combo. Pooches who do tricks can also enter the "Best Trick for a Treat Contest".
Check-in and costume judging will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. with the winners being announced starting at 4:45 p.m. Judging for the Best Trick for a Treat Contest will be held at 4:45 p.m.
Current Trailside Dog Park members will have a dog-gone good time at the event free of charge. Non-members can also participate; they just need to purchase a daily pass online. All attendees will be required to follow the current usage rules for Trailside Dog Park.
