Each December, the Waukee Police Department raises money and takes low-income children shopping for holiday gifts for themselves and their family members. The kids and their families enjoy breakfast cooked by the Waukee Fire Department, a pizza lunch and a fun gift-wrapping session at the end of the day. The department will be raising funds for this annual initiative through Dec. 6.
