The Waukee Police Department is selling Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts with part of the proceeds going to Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa. The 100 percent cotton shirts are navy in color with unisex sizes available from small through 2XL. The cost of the shirts is $15 or $17 for 2XL. The ribbon shown to the right is on the front chest of the t-shirt. The back is shown to the left. Orders must be in by Oct. 9, 2020. Click here to order one or more shirts! Local porch-delivery is being offered so you will have plenty of time to wear the shirts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Breast Cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the breast. One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime; it's rare, but men are also diagnosed with this disease. Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa is an organization that raises money to help fund Breast Cancer research, education, screening and treatment by holding its annual MORE THAN PINK walk (formerly Race for the Cure). This year's virtual walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 24.

The Waukee Police Department thanks all who are able to support this cause!
