The splash pad at Fox Creek Park is closed temporarily for repairs. Update 5 PM 6/22: We expect parts to arrive tomorrow for installation and hope to have the splash pad open by late Friday afternoon. We'll update this post when the splash pad is open again. 

In the meantime, cool off at the smaller water feature in Westown Meadows Park, 2445 SE Willowbrook Drive. The rest of the park remains open. 

You can also take a short road trip to visit another metro splash pad. Here are a few:

• Union Park Splash Pool, Guthrie Avenue, Des Moines (bonus - take a spin on the Heritage Carousel)

• Splash Pad at Johnston Town Center
