The Waukee United Methodist Church installed three new Little Free Libraries™ in the community over the Labor Day weekend. Church members installed libraries in Warrior Park, Windfield Park and at the Waukee Community Center. The church also plans to donate a fourth one to be installed in Fox Creek Park once seeding is finalized at that site. The Waukee Parks & Recreation Department would like to thank the following people who worked so hard on the church's project:

Installers:
Josh Straw, Brad Beltman, Tyler DeHaan, Scott and Peggy Gaulter, Craig and Karen Bauerle, Allison and Derek Flack and kids, Larry McDowell, Brian Krohn, Bob Henderson and Dick Applegate

Builders:
Jim Rumelhart and Waukee United Methodist Church Youth Group

More libraries will be added by other organizations at Centennial Park, Triangle Park and Grant Park. Including the original Little Free Libraries at Ridge Pointe Park and Southfork Park, the total will soon be nine on City of Waukee property.

Little Free Libraries are designed for kids and adults, to take, share and give their favorite books to friends and neighbors. The libraries are available for use throughout the year.
