If you smell gas, and it is a slight odor, leave the building and move away from the property. Do not shut off light switches or appliances. Once you are safely away from the building, call the Gas Emergency line for MidAmerican Energy at 800-595-5325. If the gas odor is strong, leave the premises right away without turning off any lights or appliances or doing anything that could cause a spark. When you are away from the building, call 911 from a mobile phone or neighbor's phone and then call the MidAmerican Energy emergency line.

Requests for installation of new gas service lines and meters must be submitted to MidAmerican Energy at https://www.midamericanenergy.com/ecss/newservice/new.
