Phase 5 construction on the Alice’s Road/Grand Prairie Parkway Corridor Project continues to progress. Work to install underground utilities (storm sewer, water main and sanitary sewer) is still ongoing with completion anticipated for early August. Grading on the 0.8 mile stretch of road will begin soon. Weather permitting, paving will begin on the three new southbound lanes in mid- to late-August while the existing two lanes of Alice’s Road remain open to traffic. The Heart of the Warrior Trail underpass remains closed indefinitely due to ongoing repairs. City officials will continue to update the public about progress and any traffic closures or delays.
