The City of Waukee requires all cat and dog owners to license their pets. Some of the benefits of having your pet licensed include:
• Licensed animals assure the community that the pet has been properly vaccinated from rabies.
• Pet licensing can enable animal control to quickly identify and return lost animals.

When: Licenses can be purchased Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. starting June 1, 2014. Licenses are valid July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015.

Information: Owners must bring a copy of their animal's rabies certificate. Cost is $2.50 for spayed or neutered pets and $5.00 for non-spayed or non-neutered pets.
