On Oct. 24, 2019, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources stocked the two Kettlestone Waukee Commons ponds with a total of 1,000 trout as part of its "Fish Local" campaign!
Iowa residents and nonresidents aged 16 and up who are required to have a fishing license, must also pay the Trout Fee to fish for or possess trout. Those under 16 do not need to pay the additional Trout Fee. The Waukee Commons ponds are located north of Holmes Murphy & Associates at 2727 Grand Prairie Parkway. The City thanks the DNR.
