Waukee grocery stores and essential community services are altering hours, providing drive-through services and giving other important assistance to help combat the COVID-19 concerns facing those in high-risk or low-income groups.

- Grocery store special hours
- Fareway: Open Monday through Saturday; Regular hours: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Open 8-9 a.m. only for 65+, those with weakened immune systems/serious illness and expectant mothers
- Hy-Vee: Open daily; Regular hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Open 7-8 a.m. only for 65+, those with weakened immune systems/serious illness and expectant mothers
- Aldi: Open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Free "grab and go" breakfasts and lunches are available for Waukee Community School District students (18 and under). See details.
- The Waukee Area Christian Services’ food pantry has moved to a drive-through method of distribution, and the Free Clinic is now closed through March 31. See details.
- HIRTA Transportation is currently only providing curbside services (no door-to-door) in Dallas County.
