Waukee City Hall, located at 230 W. Hickman Road and the adjacent Development Services (building permits, zoning, etc.) Annex, located at 204 W. Hickman Road behind City Hall will reopen to the public on Monday, July 6 at 8 a.m. The Waukee Public Safety Building lobby has been open and will remain open. The Waukee Public Works Building is anticipated to reopen soon. The Waukee Public Library will continue to operate via curbside and virtual platforms.
Most public meetings will reopen to the public to attend in person. Beginning July 6, all electronic meeting options will be discontinued with the exception of the Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees which will continue to be held via Zoom.
Individuals visiting City buildings or attending public meetings are encouraged to follow healthy hygiene practices (handwashing/sanitizer), do not come in if sick, practice physical distancing to lower the risk of disease spread and use a cloth face covering (with some exceptions) in the buildings when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
For people 65 years and older, those with underlying medical conditions or those who prefer to stay home during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City offers many over-the-phone and online methods of doing business. Please visit www.Waukee.org/COVID19 for more information.
City officials thank members of the public for their patience and precaution during these challenging times.
