The Waukee Fire Department recently hired Jason Fife to fill its newly created, full-time Fire Prevention Specialist position. His duties will include presenting community fire prevention information, giving feedback on project plan reviews and conducting fire inspections. This position was added due to a rising demand for fire prevention outreach and fire inspections, as Waukee’s population continues to grow.

Fife has an associate’s degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University. Most recently, he worked as a fire inspector for the City of Moses Lake, Washington. He also has experience as a volunteer firefighter and a fire alarm technician. The City welcomes Jason Fife to the team!

The Waukee Fire Department currently has 18 full-time employees and approximately 20 additional paid-on-call (part-time) firefighter/EMTs.
