The U.S. Census Bureau released new data yesterday showing that Dallas County, Iowa is the fifth fastest-growing county in the nation. Their latest estimates show the county grew by 4.6 percent from 2015-2016 and by more than 27 percent since 2010.
Waukee alone lists an official Census population count of 17,945 as of fall 2015 - a 30 percent growth since 2010. With growth comparable to three people per day in the City, population estimates are now earing 20,000.
