Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the Community Events Calendar on Waukee.org. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

Yes. Dogs and cats must be licensed annually per City ordinance. The City of Waukee has a partnership with PetData to provide its residents with pet licenses. Visit PetData.com to set up a new license. Call 1-855-585-8157 toll-free with questions. Dog and cat licenses cost $15 for altered pets and $25 for unaltered pets. There is an open forum toward the beginning of every regular City Council meeting, during which anyone may speak regarding any subject that is not on that night's agenda for consideration.
