Each year, Waukee hosts an all-day celebration of our nation's independence. Activities start at 3 p.m. with a parade through the Historic Downtown that ends at Centennial Park where the fun continues for the rest of the day and night. Bring your friends and family for fun with inflatables, live music from the band Abby Normal in the evening, food vendors and a great fireworks show after dusk.

Location:  Parade begins downtown followed by entertainment and vendors in Centennial Park
Time: Parade begins at 3 p.m. with park festivities capping off at dusk with the annual fireworks show

4th of July Parade


The fun begins at 3 p.m. with a parade through Historic Downtown. Click on the image below for a full-sized view of the parade route.

Everyone is welcome to be in Waukee’s Fourth of July Parade. Registration is not required. Those who wish to participate in the parade should arrive at 2 p.m. at the Vince Meyer Learning Center located at 400 Locust Street. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. No water balloons or guns will be allowed in the parade.
