Each year, Waukee hosts an all-day celebration of our nation's independence. Activities start at 3:00 p.m. with a parade through the Historic Downtown that ends at Centennial Park where the fun continues for the rest of the day and night. Bring your friends and family for fun with inflatables, the Game on Game Trailer, live music from the band Standing Hampton at 6 p.m., food vendors and a great fireworks show after dusk.

Waukee Boy Scout Troop 178 will also host the annual 5K Fun Run & 1-Mile Kids Run the morning of July 4!

Everyone is welcome to participate in Waukee’s Independence Day Parade. Registration is not required. Those who wish to participate in the parade should arrive at 2 p.m. at Vince Meyer. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. No water balloons or guns will be allowed in the parade.
